Bailing Out Benji is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that is dedicated to ending puppy mills through research, education, and advocacy. One of our main programs is to research the puppy mill industry by independently auditing government health records in order to connect puppy mills to the various businesses they sell to. To date, we have connected over 400 pet stores in 37 states to the puppy mills and commercial facilities they buy from. Our research is used to educate in classrooms and policy rooms across the country. Bailing Out Benji is also the leading organization that researches and exposes the nationwide puppy-laundering scheme that occurs when puppy mills sell puppies labeled as rescues.
